Mel Jankura was memorized by the red sands of PEI at the age of 7, and knew she would call this majestic island home one day. While having experienced some of the most beautiful countrysides when living in the Yukon, touring Alaska, and growing up in the Laurentians of Quebec, she undertands the magnetic pull of Prince Edward Island, that attracts everyone from far & wide.

Her ambition is to help others fulfill their dreams of creating a lifestyle they do not need a vacation from. In 2021, the Jankura family established Aurdec Acres Homestead in Tyne Valley. Raising animals, working the land, and resurrecting a generational farm, back to full function is not an easy feat. Hard work will never be a deterrent to help others accomplish their own dreams.
