Purchaser’s Week Before Closing Checklist
- Contact your finance professional to confirm mortgage instructions have been sent, or will be sent, to your lawyer in time to close as scheduled
- Contact your lawyer to ensure they have everything they need to date to ensure a smooth closing.
- Confirm with your lawyer the information received from your finance professional.
- Confirm they received the water test results if applicable
- Arrange the time to meet to sign the closing documents.
- Confirm the amount needed by your lawyer and form of payment (ex. Bank draft) needed on closing
- Review your EXIT Realty PEI Moving Checklist to ensure everything is on schedule
- Call Maritime Electric 1.800.670.1012 to ensure that the power will be on for closing day.
- Double check on all scheduled appointments for service provider hook up, cleaning services etc. for after closing
- Don’t plan to have the keys until nearly the end of business on the closing day. Arrange your schedule deliveries and hook ups accordingly
- Contact your agent and set up the time for the pre-closing walk through
